Default Who has done this?

who has taken their K&N FIPK and replaced the black plastic radiator shroud with a chrome, polished or stainless version? I have heard that the LT1 shroud from BMR will fit but there isnt any place to bolt the front of the filter. So, has anyone went ahead and bought that shroud anyway, and if so, how did the filter stay? Or has someone done something else?

I just did it about a week ago with the BMR shroud. Fits perfect and yes there is no provision for the filter to mount but I think it should be OK. If not, I'll fab a bracket and mount it.

So far, so good. No problems with filter moving around or anything like that. Did a couple 100 mph blasts and put about 50 miles on it so far and all looks good.
