Default EVAP relocation how to.. with PICS!!!

Ok i decided to do this the other night while doing my fuel rails, and i remembered seeing a post by LawmanSS about him relocating his EVAP, so a few PM's later and I have a lovely email from him on how he did his, and now less clutter on my intake.... so here are the pictures he sent me along with a little write up he sent me and i will update it later with pics of mine completed... Thanks again to LAWMAN SS couldn't have done it with out you!!!

___original instructions from lawmanss:

..."The hardest part was cutting and splicing extensions into the wires. I split apart the factory EVAP line and removed it from the the schrader valve (sp?)...anyway, it's barbed on both ends. I used the factory hard line between the disconnect and one side of the schrader valve and fished it between the fenderwell and the ABS unit...the valve sits right in the gap like it was supposed to be there. I attached rubber fuel line to the other side of the schrader valve and ran it down to the area underneath the fuse boxes and attached it to the solenoid. Then I ran rubber fuel line out of the solenoid and back through the area around the ABS unit, behind the PS pump (I believe...when you're doing yours, just play with the routing of the hose for the best way to hide it) and up to the intake. It makes that area look a whole lot cleaner. "

I did mine w/o using any of the factory line and or the schrader valve, I also put my solenoid right above the AIR pump(need to pull out..) under the fuse box, but same concept
Lawmanss once again and i will update this later with more pics, please let me know if you need any kind of clarification-
Kevin

i believe that fuel rail covers are for stock rails, but if you relocated the evap it should still fit

Yeah...not sure how close the fit is between the top of the stock rails and the FRCs, but the billet rails seem to be a bit taller...

Fuel rail covers will NOT fit with aftermarket rails. They have a clip thats designed to snap onto the factory rails which are basically circular. From what I've seen most aftermarket rails are more elliptical. They EVAP relocation however would not affect fitment of FRCs.

Looks sharp!

Now somebody figure out how to hide the traction control! (without doing away with it)

i installed my Fast 90/90 last nite, and i just left it in the stock location, its not going anywhere.

i did however run in to the TB parts. i got the 5 bolts for the TB to intake but they didnt give me a long enough bolt for the top TB hole. all is fixed now tho.

Here is another write up on the mod with extra pictures:

Since the FAST Intake doesn't support the bracket and all, that a good enough excuse for me to relocate it! :-)

That's a nice mod.

I was thinking of running a new line to the back of the intake to clean it up even more. Maybe mount the solenoid under the brake booster or something.
