Default Factory paint bubbling on 02 SS Camaro

My wifes camaro has paint bubbling on the roof.

The car is @ the Dealership being repaired under warranty and the service manager called last night and said more paint seems to bubbling up.

Has anyone else had this problem w/factory paint?

We had that problem, tell the dealership to pull up the Technical Service Bulletin on it. It's a chemical reaction between the paint and the adhesive that holds the roof panel on. The only fix, is to replace the roof panel, and use new adhesive to install the new panel.

Lots of info on this in different threads. Get it all fixed ASAP. Some dealers have been refusing to fix the problem, others fix it with no problems at all. Some in warranty some out. Kind of hit and miss the the dealer. Mine started about a year ago, car is out of warranty and passed the six year old mark that was mentioned lately. TSB number is: 03-08-98-001 I believe.

I just noticed this the other day on my 02 WS6. Unfortunately, I'm a bit over the 36,000 mile mark so I'm out of warranty. I know it would be costly but if the problem is this bad GM should do a recall on vehicles that might be affected.
