Prep for VHT Night Shade

Prep for VHT Night Shade I want to blackout my tail lights and I am going to use night shades. Then I am going to spray them with clear coat. Can someone tell me if all these steps are correct and tell me if I am missing anything
1.Wet sand with 600 grit (Do I need this step?)
2.Spray on Night shades, 2 coats
3.sand with 1200 grit
4.Spray on clear coat
Please give me some tips to help me do a great job... Thanks

Only sand with 600 if there are scratches on it. Otherwise, just scuff it with 1200. Nite shades is VERY thin. Keep the can far away and do long even strokes. Set the lights next to each other and spray them like they are 1 piece. If you paint one, then the other, one will be darker. You don't need a lot of Nite shades. You can always make them darker so error on the light side. Do NOT sand the Nite shades. Clear them while the Nite shades is still tacky.
Notice my passenger side is a bit light. I need to fix that.

Nightshades also doesn't look cheap and tacky like covers do -- and nightshades doesn't have a negative effect on how much light is visible (cops won't pull you over for the nightshades; whereas cops are known to pull people over for the covers around here).
I tinted mine seperately and did a lot more coats. It came out aight, a lot of people give compliments on it, but I plan to redo it at some point or another... just a matter of buying another set of euros.

Verdad Gallardo I'll bet nailpolish remover would remove the VHT if need be. Polish the clouded plastic with some 3m plastic polish, and voila, back to stock.
Someone tried stealing my tailight covers at school and chipped my decklid. This way you won't have to worry about stuff like that.
