Default get a bunch of goodies, good stuff or not?

exterior
meguiar's clay bar kit
meguiar's deep crystal system paint cleaner (step 1)
meguiar's deep crystal system polish (step 2)
meguiar's deep crystal system carnauba wax (step 3)

microfiber automotive cloth for washing and drying
diaper soft polishing clothes (100% cotton)

wheels

mothers chrome polish
black magic tire wet gel
eagle one tire swipe applicators

engine
QC automotive engine degreaser
CD-2 engine detailer

misc.
automotive window cleaner
turtlewax vinyl etc cleaner/protector

just wondering what is good in my list and what is crap? i havent used anything yet so i can go return them.

also the black roof area on a t top car, would that be treated like any other surface of the car? or should i use window cleaner on that?

also last week i used that interior turtlewax cleaner on the exterior rubber window moldings and it came out discolored, but it says it can be used on rubber? any idea why?

Get rid of the cotton towels/diapers, and use some good microfiber polishing cloths (not the cheapo wal mart stuff either) for your polishing as well
Other than that, looks like a good starting list

Sounds like a great start. I would probably replace step 3 in the Meguiars 3 step system with NXT though instead of the carnuba. That's just my oppinion though, either one will work fine, but both will give alittle different final result.

Pretty good list, no diaper soft clothes. The microfiber issue is debatable upon many big name automotive car care marketers (mothers, meguiars, zaino, etc.). Most of them say that even the better brand of microfiber products are hit and miss. Currently, there is no spec that the companies have to meet when it comes to the microfiber products. I think the Zaino site says that they don't recommend it.
I use Mothers Back in Black for all my trim. Keeps it looking brand new. Outer glass, can use normal auto soap or glass cleaner. Many people wax or rainx their glass too. I'd also use the gold class or professional products for the interior. They seem to keep the natural color of the interior without all the excess shine. Though some love that shine...completely up to you. Meguiars sent me a free bottle of prof. rubber and vinyl cleaner. Seems to work really well on the rubber you were talking about, to get the color back... back in black. Don't know why it would have discolored, similar thing happened to my tires with some meg. cleaner (how I got the free products after complaining). They told me that rubber cleaners for tires and moulding have chemicals in them that can sometimes, though rarely (supposedly), discolor the area. Said to clean it really well and use some conditioner of sorts.
Sorry for the long post. Hope it helps though.

Looks like a good setup you have there, I use all microfibers personally. Meguiar's is always a class act, so you'll be able with that stuff. I absolutely love my Meguiar's Gold class carnuba wax.

The gold class goes on and off easier. Everything ends up clear too. No excess residue. Black dots are probably dried tar. I usually use my fingernails to remove them. The stubborn ones come off with bug and tar remover. Meg. makes a good tar remover as well. I've also heard of people using a credit card to remove stubborn glue (when removing decals and badges), tar, and bugs.
