Yeah, for that price I'll just go with a suncoast raptor or the slp HO. The lovers are nice, but definately not worth THAT much money. How big are the extractors on the suncoast hood? No one's said anything about them and do they really do anything of concequence?

Webshots Album: 99 "Mecham" TA

Cost is about $960 plus shipping. Prep and paint will cost an arm and a leg though...

Thanks for the extra pics, exactly what I was looking for. What wheels did you have on that car?

You're welcome. ROH Snypers. I'd probably still have them if you could get them in 17x11...

You'd have to ask Mecham why it sucks so bad.

Lots of prep work. My paint guy called it "race quality", not "show quality". Even if you get it looking good for the install, it's pretty flimsy, and tends to develop stress fractures all along the leading edge.

Yeah, I'm basically looking for function with some form. Their areo tail does look good too, but one has to wonder if that is really nessecary.

Thats what I thought too. I bought one for my last T/A and the body shop said it was junk. I told them to go ahead and do what they could and it had a LOT of blemishes.

My WS9 Outlaw is getting painted and the car will be back in my hands next week. Ill post up pics as I havent seen too many, let alone on a silver car.

They definately ain't worth 1200 bucks!!! Well, to each his own though. They definately look good, and if they function (that's what I'm really after) even better. How much do they weight glass? If I'm not mistaken, Bryan Wilkinson got one laid in CF.

I am looking to buy a new hood for my Pewter 02' TA, and I think that the WS6 style hood and the firehawk/raptor style hood are the best looking. I thought about the SLP HO hood for awhile, but it's too square for my taste. The WS6 and firehawk/raptor style hoods flow better with the car and look like they were meant to be there. Now if I could just decide which one I want........

I'm a Camaro owner, but on a T/A I like the sharp look of the WS6, but like the sleek sexy look of the Firehawk. The 93-97 T/A Ram Air hoods look like the current Ultra-Z hood for the Camaro. I think a T/A just looks wrong if it has the plain Firebird hood.

Well, people complain because your case is the exception, and it should be the rule.
I hope it holds up well for you...
