Painting nose

I was kind of wanting to get my nose repainted on my 1997 Camaro. I have only taken it to one place so far, that i know does good work, for an estimate, but they told me $400. They said it was so expensive because they would have to take the bumber completely off. I know I've seen it done with it on the car, should i keep searching for a place that will paint it with it on, or would the results be better with it off?

Back in the day, i got the whole front end repainted on my 99' firebird at maaco for $279.

Get the quality paint job or don't bother at all.

I'd request that they leave it on the car at least when they're spraying the bc/cc. You'll want them to blend the color up onto the fenders and hood. Otherwise, the nose is more than likelly not going to match the rest of the car. They'll have to clear the front fenders and hood in order to do it, but the results will be worth it.
