Painting gray plasic around windeshield washer tank?
What is the best paint and process to go about painting this? Never painted plastic before and want it to look really good with it being right there as soon as you pop the hood. Is there any products that make it look good without painting that you guys have found?

I just sanded mine with some 600 grit, hit it with some sandable primer to smooth out acouple of spots, and just used a Platikot or Rustolium semi gloss black. It came out pretty nice. This was a few years ago and I'll probrably give it a fresh coat this year.

I just painted mine. First I used a plastic adhesion promoter that I bought from a paint store. I then used a silver enamel paint. I finished it off with a high temp clear coat. You can use the new Fusion paint. They are formulated to bond to plastics. I would just use the high temp clear to keep the heat off of it so it won't peal. Check out my cardomain site (page 3) in my sig to see the pics.

No need for high temp clear. Most automotive paints will withstand temps above 200 degrees. Pretty sure that tanks not going to hit anywhere close to that. I would use some Bulldog Plastic Adhesion Promoter then prime and paint. Clear it if you want a glossy finish.
