water spots i have serious water spots on my windshield and rear window i tried windex and vinegar with newspaper and lots of elbow grease. nothing seems to work, what else is there to use? 
Invisible Glass. Can be purchased at any automotive parts store. Its made by Stoner. Use it with a crinkled up news paper and you cant go wrong. Its about $5-6 a spray can though. But worth it

Yeah, a thread with all sorts of ideas just went through. I just helped a friend of mine get his water spots out (the worst that i had ever seen). I used some glass polish. Most people wipe this stuff on, let it dry, and then wipe it off. Obviously that wouldn't get any spots out. What I do, and it works every time, is put the polish on and rub it around. Let it dry. Put some more polish on and rub it around, then let it dry. Finally take a cloth and rub the heck out of the dried areas. It will come out. The really bad areas you may have to do twice. I can't say that I have ever had to do more than two polishing sessions on the same spot.

Glass science from O'Reillys. I had really bad water spots from the spinklers and 102 degree heat. Got some glass science and it took all of them off pretty quickly. Check it out, you wont be sorry.
