Actually ScratchX is'nt a filler at all, it is an abrasive. It takes off small amounts of clear coat, just like any type of fine cut polish does. It has dimishing abrasives in it that break down as you apply it, taking off more clear at first then as the abrasives break down it polishes the surface out. That's why it sometimes takes 2-3 applications to get the scratches out by hand. Clear coat is VERY hard and is difficult to remove by hand. Again there are'nt any fillers in Scratch X, the scratches you remove will not come back from anything wearing off. Also using a 100% cotton terry cloth will help in removing the clearcoat (and scratches) better than foam.
