Default Body Kits

Well it looks as If Wings West stopped production of their Trans Am kit. Does anyone know if and where I can still get one? Or are there any other kits out there? I really really really want one.

I heard that there is a different kit coming out for the Trans Am in Aug. I dunno if this is true, and I dont know who makes it.

Let me know.

-Thanks

..and you can have those ridges or lines molded to the body so it looks like one piece.

I don't understand what everyones deal is with bashing ground effects? RICE, I'm soooo sick of seeing that ****** word, shove that rice in your mouth and blow it out you ***! Damn! I mean really chevy and pontiac both have G/E options for there cars.
So does that mean there turning into RICE. Think about it, it's a ******* racial slur quit using it and the little rice smiley should be deleted by the mods. IMO the camaro looks it's best w/gm's kit and the added spolier lip that goes on top of that plain flat spoiler. I have had both a camaro and a T/A which is what i am currently driving, the camaro I had had the G/E package I wouldn't own one that didn't same goes for any firebird model. It is just to plain w/o the skirts. Now you see that is just my opinion but I didn't become an ******* in the process of stating it nor did I make fun of the people that don't like the kits. I will admit there are some nasty aftermarket kits out there, but the WW kit for the T/A is tastefull aswell as the xenon kit for the camaro.

guh damn! Chill down bro it's not like anyones goin balistic over the topic some people just have their own opinion that specific body kits tend to lean towards rice. Would you rather them say they resemble import automobiles? It's just a word of distinguishing particular cars.

hey i agree with him to a point, not like that but i do agree:

The WW on the T/A looks good IMO, most ppl that hate G/E are the ones who have nothing on their car, and thats their preference but what stands out more?? This is an appearance section...ppl want to do stuff that makes them stand out.

It wasn't directed at any certain person, your right I reacted a little to extreme but peoples feelings tend to get a little tested. I understand that it is a way to describe something but think about the root meaning. There are plenty of words for other races used to describe things and people don't dare to use these types of words on the site. why should rice be aloud to be so freely used. It just seems to me that if all your going to reply on is a one word answer saying rice just don't type it at all. I realize it wasn't mentioned alot or with hate in this thread but have seen it in so many other threads that it just builds up. with that said let me give this guy his thread back and and I wasn't jumping on anyone paticular person.

I like the GM sport appearance package ground effects. I have not really seen any body kits on f-bodies.

RICE

wouldnt look so ghey if the body kit had all new bumpers, not tack on pieces with 3m tape that come off after winter, i have installed a few body kits like my truck ( www.cardomain.com/id/v8blakdak ) and nothing ever fits right, peices take alot of time to get right and are usually flimsy even after putting on extra brackets. i assume OEM G/E fit nicely but the RS G/E IMO is way too tacky. if u want a higher spoiler, get the SS spoiler. a lowered fbody looks better over one with a bodykit.

Yep, I don't think I would get half the compliments I do if I didn't have my ground effects. Just keep it tasteful and clean and it will look really nice. As for the people that love to call rice on muscle cars (super clean ones at that), that's always been a touchy subject with me. Seems generally that most of these people have average run of the mill F-bodies that just get mixed in with the rest of the crowd.

People might consider the GAWDY but not rice, geez people need to get a ****** clue. Fast and the Furious was how many years ago and you guys are still pissed about it?

Body kits are definitely not "rice," sometimes they can be a little overdone and gawdy, but I think FBodies were made for ground effects.

i think they look better on the camaro than the Ta. the TA already has flared rocker panels and the rear bumper looks like a kit is already on it. so it just looks like you stacked 2 kits on each other. plus i dont think it looks as good when you cant put some nice springs on the car. i think a lowered Ta looks better than one with stock ride height and body kit. but thats me, do what you want.

Not rice, but I would lower my car over the body kit, unless you have Long Tubes like me.

this seems to be a touchy subject among the members here, which is fine.

IMO, i think a body kit, when done tastefully, and nothing like a huge 'wide-mouthed' "BOMB", like the ones you would see on a mx-6 or an eclipse...(yes, i have seen these kits for a camaro....). ANyways, these fourth gen camaro'z are high from factory and need some wheel gap reduction and a little lip to fionish her of. A trans am, they seem to have a nice look to them from factory though the white one posted in the first page is sweet.... you see...tasteful. Also, modern muscle'z red camaro is nice with the wings west kit. I think, for example, the xenon kit might be to much and there is this other kit that looks to bulky..cant remember the vendor...

Anyways, if you like the kit, get it my friend, its your car after all...
