I'm sure there is someone selling in the classifieds... post a WTB, tons of people part these out to make them drag cars. You shouldnt have a problem finding pieces you need.

I mean you could get away ith painting the stereo trim, console trim, vent trims, and guage bezel trim black. But painting the entire thing would and WILL look horrible. Tons of people come on this forum and post their "sweet color changed interiors." When all they did was spray paint the entire thing. It looks fake, shiney, and awful. Plus to top it off... it will chip eventually.

I'm in the middle of that exact change over, tan to black/grey interior. SEM makes some great dyes and they also make the correct prep materials. I am just buying a complete black carpet set, and changing the dash color the HARD way. I have taken it out and started to fiberglass it, and I am planning to smooth all of the pillars and interior panels. It is a lot of work and seeing the interior to my car right now would frighten the most experienced Fbod enthusiast. If you need any specific questions answered, I can give it my best shot.

as long as you do the right steps then it will be a good looking piece. i did it and i like how it looks, just sand it down with 80 grit sand paper and then with a lower grit then primer the pieces, and paint three coats and spray some clear and you will be looking good. but it will look like **** if you just paint it without sanding.

As long as you can handle flamer comments like this, you'll be fine. I painted my entire interior over from the charcoal to black, and while there's the people on here that make ignorant ******* comments, people in person will give nothing but compliments (as long as you actually do it well and don't have a gloppy mess, that is. ).

Yeah all the flamers should just shut it. I painted my interior black and have only received compliments. Oh and that "always shiny" comment? People say it's awesome how my dash looks armor-alled whenever they see it. And you think it will chip? Well you obviously haven't used Krylon Fusion, my friend. It's acclaimed in the paint world, got some award I think. Be sure to get special paint for the soft vinyls though, because plastic paint does a terrible job of drying on them.

I'm not worried about showing mine, people flame it all the time online but in person I've gotten nothing but compliments, not one person has ever said in person anything negative about it. And the bottom line, I love how it looks (although I am redoing it to be more custom in the near future)

You can buy new carpet at Yearone or http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/93_02_catalog
I don't think any of the sponsers sell new carpet sets, but if I am wrong let me know.
