I bought mine from properautocare.com I haven't tried it out yet...how much splatter is there? Or should I say, how do you control the splatter?

Did you use the Mother's Powermetal polish?

it strictly says to go slow for the first few seconds after application in order to avoid splatter, after that the foam pretty much soaks up whatever u put on it and applies it to the surface of whatever ur polishing.

I'm not to pleased with the powerball. It did cut polishing time in half, be it's just a little to stiff for me. Overall I give it a thumbs up though

you don't? I do, to great success I think... I never thought much of polishing chrome either until one day I saw this PT cruiser (funny car that it is ) at the store, his chrome wheels POPPED!!! they were so f'ing shiny I couldn't belive it. I went home and searched the net, sure enough, there's all kinds of polish made for chrome, I bought some

and it rules.

Mothers makes a Chrome wheel polish, I used it on my Z06 rims and it made them look amazing. Now i didnt use the power ball I hand polished them and it took me like an hour and a half to clean then polish and then buff. I have conteplated buying the power ball after cleaning the wheels though.

This is just wrong. Many of the top wheels (like Foose & Boyd Coddington mentioned in this thread) come polished and not clearcoated. Many people believe (you can argue either way) that clearcoat takes away some of the looks of polished aluminum.

Anyway...I just picked up a Powerball...haven't tried it on my Boyd's yet though...

polishing chrome will help them hold up better and avoid pitting. I polish the chrome wheels on my truck and they look great after I finish.

We saw them at O'Reilly's here in Tennessee. They were 24.99. We're gonna try it out and see how it does on the Boyd's on my car.

I do agree that a clear coat on polished aluminum tends to make them look a little dull
