Center Mount Exhaust Question

Center Mount Exhaust Question I have a 02 ss with center mount exhaust. I was recently comparing another ss with cme and noticed that his rear valence was different. His valence had a nice smooth top side (where it meets the rear bumper) that smoothly transitions to the bumper. Whereas mine has a rough squared off edge that kind of just overlaps the rear bumper. I bought mine used and it did come with cme according to door badge. So was there two different versions of the cme rear valence? What does yours have? My car is an early production 02, having been sold in march, does that have something to do with it?
I bought my valance off of ebay from a guy in Canada that supposedly bought leftover parts when SLP's facility closed...anyway, my valance came painted (poorly) and has that ugly, squared off edge that overlaps the bumper. Every one I've seen has had the same crappy edge...I wonder if the other valance you saw had been "massaged" to a cleaner edge by a body shop tech?...
Its all in the way you put it on, if its not on correctly then it will look like that. They all have a square edge but if its put on properly then it will be a smooth transition. Take it from me, I screwed it up the first time and I noticed it. I took it back off and put it on properly and it looks awsome!

I looked at mine just now. Square edged POS right from SLP. I'm lookin' at it and how the hell would you make it look rounded like Teri's? Sand it down and repaint it? Maybe they made two different versions like to save $ or something.
I did spot a Camaro the other day where the guy had buffed out those aluminum tips so they looked like chrome, just on the very end if you know what I mean. Looked alright and way easier to keep the black crap off.
