It looks like I might be adding a Turbo Tech Turbo Street Kit to my car this winter and I will have to relocate the Alt to the top pass side. With it being up top and very visible, I want to get it Chrome plated to match all the other items that I have chromed.
Can you take a LS1 Alt apart to get it chrome plated? Has anyone ever done this?

Anything can be done if you throw enough money at it! ![Tongue](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_tongue.gif)
Seriously, I'm sure if you had the alternator disassembled, you could have the housing and pulley dipped...there are lots of chrome alternators available for classics via the aftermarket, so this shouldn't be a problem...
EDIT: Any automotive electrical shop/alternator shop should have no problem disassembling the alternator...
