Default Help removing lens

I need some tips on how to remove the lens on my RKsport clear corners,they leaked so I'm gonna paint them and my headlights while I'm at it,but I had the clear corners in the oven on 200 for 35 minutes and that **** is stll hard...I tried to get it anyway but it wasn't budgin.

I didnt even know that you could take them apart. Mine look pretty sealed up.

Ya I'm starting to think I cant....but man this sux cause they got **** in 'em....If they're sealed so good how come they leak?? and how are the headlights easier to take apart?are they not sealed as good?I haven't tried to do the headlights yet.

Good point. It always baffled me how they leak so damn bad, when they look sealed

Dude Im pretty sure you cant take clear corners apart. From what I can tell they dont look glued together. Your only chance would probably be to use a dremel and cut the lense off. Of course how you reattach it with a perfect seal migh be a pretty big challenge. Maybe some plastic welding stuff might hold it together pretty good.

You should just buy a set on ebay for $20 and call it a day. I've had mine for more than a year with no leaks.

Damn!! see I was gonna do the whisper mod but I want the clear corners to look the same but oh well...my clear corners leaked like a month after I bought them!!

So looks like I'm just gonna get the black halos,does anyone know where I can buy clear corners but with black inside?? I dont want to get covers.

Procarparts has them. I think they are like $44 or something.

Ya I just seen those...I'm gettin those and either halos or the whisper mod,I might buy the already whisperd ones from procars as well so I can have a set of all the stock lights just incase I ever sell it I can take it back to stock,and for $125 bux they aint bad.

Be sure you post pics after you get those corners in, theres another thread with a bunch of guys wanting to see what they look like installed.

I doubt it was the lense part that got leaked into, its probably not sealed well where the bulbs go in thru the top, check to see if uhave any cracks around in that area, or if the bulbs just werent in all the way

good luck to ya w/e u decide to do, im going to paint my headlights so im hoping itll be easier to get apart then what ur saying about the corners

Well,there was no signs of leaking around the lights,they were all in nice and tight.IDK.
