Scratches on the inside of the plastic gauge cluster?
Does anyone else have fine swirl/line scratches on the inside of the clear plastic covering that overlies the speedometer and other gauges? When the light hit it right it looks like someone took a SOS pad to it.

I had nasty scratches in mine.... last week I discovered Mcguires deep crystal polish works really well on tailights. After reading this thread last nite I decided to try it on my guage cluster plastic....
wow! I just did it and I'm so happy, I was going to replace mine, but now it looks brand f'n new
I buffed it three times and it just kept getting better.

I changed my gauges and mine were scratched pretty bad, but it buffed out real nice.
I somehow got glass cleaner on mine and it dripped down the backside of it, so i had a drip line of glass cleaner on the back side for 3 months, driving me absolutely insane

ah the fine world of swirling. if you look at almost anything in sun its gonna have swirls, from a cd case to a credit card. just about everything gets like that for some reason. ive learned to ignore it, except for the paint swirls of course
