Exterior modification ideas for show car
I bought a 2002 T/A WS6 and would like a few thoughts (keep them positive) on the modifications I have started. The list is below and I can post pics for those who are interested. I would like some input on any ideas that might help with the look. This will be strictly a weekend driven showcar and any ideas you have throw them out for me. Current mods list is:
shaved door handles/locks/antenna
shaved gas tank cap
filled in pontiac on rear bumper cover
filled in lines around lower back bumper cover
filled in rear center panel key hole and painted to match car
blending the plastic piece behind the doors to mold into the roofline
shave front bird emblem and fill in license plate cover for a smooth look
filled in grooves on WS6 hood around nostrils
mold side skirts into the body and eliminate lines along body
Car also will have a candy red over black paint job with 18" front and 19" rear CCW SP16A wheels. Alot of interior parts are tastefully colormatched to the outside of the car ie. center console top, a/c vent trim, seatbacks and seat side trim. We hope the car will make a mag or two if we're lucky anyway. Let me know what you think and if anything is overkill (if thats possible ) I will try and get some pics up ASAP if anyone would like to see.

IMO, anything you can do to a car to give it the appearance that it was all carved out of one solid block of steel is an improvement.
Don't forget to shave the antenna too.

The antenna got left out but we are doing it. I am in FL actually so youre in luck. Here are a couple current pics. Also we are lowering as the gap right now looks outrageous obviously.

Yeah, it looks like you're being specific on what you want and taking your time to do it right. That will show up later on when the car is all complete. Can't wait to see pics.

I'm interested in seeing or hearing about any problems you may encounter with adjoining panel flex issues cracking or spider-webbing the body filler. Or if this is even an issue at all...
