I love my halos, I just wish they were more visible in daylight. You really only get the halo effect 2 hours out of the day w/o needing your headlights.

Default Help, please on halos?

Did some research, went to a few web pages on companies that sell halos, even talked to a rep at K2 - couldn't truly understand the setup with halos.

Does one use the 9005 and 9006 bulbs that came with the stock headlights? Was told by K2 that the halos get their light source from the parking lights. Does that mean I must splice into the existing front parking lights, and have the parking light/halo on simultaneously? Looks like this is the case after seeing ChaseSS's pictures. Or do I move the parking light wiring and bulb into the 3rd hole (if there is one) of the new set of halo headlights, so that the halos now are a substitute? Hope my wording here is understood. Not as savy as many Camaro LS1 owners here, so please excuse my ignorance.

Gracias for any info you people can provide.

Steve

You can tap into the parking light source if you want your halos to come on with them. You will use your existing two 9005 and 9006 bulbs in the halos, no bulbs are changed/different although it may look like it. A lot of people don't like their halos on all the time or wired up to their parking lights so they wired a switch to them to turn them on and off. It's basically up to you however you want to wire them.

yeah, but they look so much cooler than the stock lights during the day...even with the halos turned off.

I really never use the halos (because one is purple and the other blue)

I wired my halos to the foglight and disabled the automatic headlights at night so I have the option of having just the halos/fogs on, or the headlights as well. Looks sick!!

Did my halos and blackout corners today as well. Haven't wired up the halos since I ran out of daylight but here's a shot of the regular lights at night.
I'll tap into the wires tomorrow morning.

I installed then they do look good but i had to add some washers to the top bolt so I can get a lesser gap at the bottom. Without the washers the gap at the bottom was horrable. Adjusting them to see the road was a bit of a hassle too, but for now its alright. And yes they do look really good.

I still have to put the washers on because you are right that gap is pretty bad and I used the stock brackets too.

i just wired mine to and independent switch and i can turn them on without any lights on or i can have fog lights on, or the headlights along with it. its better to have an independent switch so you can use them whenever you want.

I wanna use them all the time , which wire do I connect the halo red wire to on the DRLs? Gonna do this tomorrow and it should only take 5 min.

I believe the wires were blue brown and black. Black is ground though.
