if the paint is translucent and only tints the colors below it, how would it tint back the already black parts? seems like there wouldnt be any need to tape off the black part if it acts almost like a candy color like you described

Not bad… not bad at all. Definitely unique. I always liked the '93-'97 tail lights. I think they look much better, asthetically speaking. Of course, my first Camaro was a '93. The later tail lights ('98-'02) have grown on me though, since I've had my SS. If I wanted clear corners, I would probably swap the tails back to '93-'97 versions to completely rid the car of amber lenses. I don't know why more of you guys with clear corners don't do that. But, I like my ride the way it is.

Look at every Trans Am since about.... 70. They haven't had amber turn signals in the back since at least second gen in the US. Thirdgen base model Firebirds had amber, but not the TA and GTAs. The Amber infront is pretty much universal as far as I know. You can look up your state laws and see what it has to say about it
