Default 3 inch scoop

I was lookin into getting a ss hood for the Z but then I saw the VFN 3" scoop hood. I like it, its different and it looks good in the pics. I haven't seen one in person and I'm kinda wonderin if it will look as good as the pics or if it wil look to big and weird? If anyone has this hood or seen it let me know your perception. It also makes me feel like I should have more under the hood to warrent that big a scoop. Anyway thanx for any help

That's what it sounds like, the 3" ss hood. In the multimedia section, check out the Rage II. In the beginning there is a red camaro doing a burnout with that hood on it, check it out.

If it's the 3" ss hood, I love how they look...Some people think they are too much appearance wise, but that is the hood I've been wanting forever, just can't afford it yet.

I'm not sure yet... I just found out it was coming up on Friday, but I am hoping to because as dumb as this sounds, I have never been to the "big" races before.

That's how i feel about cowl hoods. Now hood scoops actually do something, and i really love the 3", if this is in fact what that is.

I just bought a used 3" raised SS VFN hood in carbon fiber. Got it from an LS1Tech member in Illinois named Dave, (Pray hrd). Nice guy, great to deal with. The hood was new, he just abandoned the project car it was going on. At $1338.00 plus shipping from VFN, I would never have even considered it, but Dave sold it to me for a price I just couldn't refuse.

I just barely got it on the car and painted, still need to do some detail work on buffing out the rest of the car to match the new paint better. I snapped a couple of pics in my garage when I got it home from the paint shop. The rest of the car had sanding dust all over it, so these are the best I have for now.

This car will mostly see the track, but is still very streetable, even kept the a/c and stereo! (Was nice to drop the 58 lb. stock hood for this 10 lb. one) Car is still a heavy pig, but the CF hood sure helped a little. I love the way it looks, and as far as what you put it on, I can see your points. You probably should have something under that hood that scares small children & makes the ground shake.

The closest ones I know of are the vfn and glasstek 4", which might be a little much if your ta is your daily driver...
