Default washing a chamois?

is it advisable?

mine has a few dirty spots on it, but they dont come off with a rinse.

is it ok to leave it like that? doesn't look like it rubs off on the car when drying it.

it didn't break up, or become thinner?

mine gets thin in a couple of spots, hide chamois.

Throw it in the washer on the gentle cycle, shouldn't be a problem.

If not, then replace it. To save your paint its a fairly cheap investment.

I've always been advised to use a mild liquid washing detergent as opposed to the powder. Somethimes all of the powder doesn't dissolve and it could cause swirl marks.
