i guess some guys on the boards had problems when they removed that piece from their drag cars, apparently it cracked their paint on the sides of the bumpers, they put the grille back in and it was fine...

Ive yet to hear anything like that from people removing the stock grille. Not saying you're wrong, but this is the first Ive heard of anyone having that particular problem just from removing their grill.
