Side Moulding Removal
I planned on doing the !moulding mod because it cleans up the body a bit. Then I read about dings and such so decided not to. This morning I went to the bank and someone dinged my car. The ding was well above the moulding (now I know it really serves no real function). So now, I'm doing the mod. As far as "resale value" goes, my car is a keeper so that's no issue. I'm sure a lot of fbody owners feel the same.
Agreed, every door ding I've ever received in my car was either from myself being stupid (IE bodychecking my rear quarter panel just behind the door to show my friend how well the alarm works, thus putting a nice dent in the rear quarter panel, and the alarm didn't even go off 
) or it's a dent above the side molding. With how low our vehicles sit, the doors of other vehicles almost always will hit our car higher than where the molding is. But, should someone want their "resale value to go up" due to not having the molding on, they can always buy the molding and put it back on.

I know.. I know.. its not a big deal about the moulding. I just overall its funny because you guys remind me of myself years ago, and of my little brother who is always doing stuff to his car. I would have done the same thing and wanted to remove it so maybe I shouldn't talk too much. But sorry if I sound like an old man or something, I hate sounding like that! Look, as long as you don't put an airline wing on the back or connect a fiberglass boat launch to the nose of the car then you'll be fine.

does anyone have a short piece above the two vents on the front fender of a firebird/ta.. i damaged my front fender and when the bodyshop fixed it they didnt put that piece back on with the new fender.. but the ones on the doors are still there an i dont want thoes off..
