Ground effects + exhaust tips - what do you do?
I just bought a magnaflow exhaust (loudmouth just too much with headers).
My car has the stock GFX...
There seems to be no way to adjust the exhaust so that the tips protrude from underneath the car a half inch...right now they stop under the rear fascia, so that when looking at it from behind you see kind of a half circle. Were the fascia not there it would fit perfect (already had a magnaflow on my non-gfx car)...
Anyone else run into this problem?? In my opinion it looks kind of funky.

I had the same type of problem w/ my GFX and TSP Rumbler. What I did was buy some stainless steel z28-style tips w/ a 2.5" inlet and they fit perfectly right underneath the fascia. Never actually got around to mounting them cause I went w/ LT's & sweet thunder true duals dumped

I had that issue too. I shimmed and bent the brackets and hangars until everything cleared to my liking and then I was able to pull the tips out alittle. Bending the tab on the exhaust after comes over the axle made the biggest differance. Still didn't stick out to much, but they didn't look out of place. It all worked out pretty well considering it was a pain in the ***.
BTW: I just noticed that your tips are one peice. It's going to be even more of a bitch considering that. You could add in a peice of pipe. Or cut the tips off and reattach them with stainless band clamps leaving a 1/2" gap or so at the butt joint. They should stay nice a solid with the clamps tightend to 60-80ft/lbs.
