Default Interior dress up

The inside of my T/A is looking kind of plain (dare I say boring ) So I'd like some suggestions/pics on what the rest of you have done
Here's what I thought I'do
Silver faced gages/HVAC/headlight switch
Hurst shift **** (got it)
Aluminum Pedal overlays
Anyone make any different ***** for the hvac/headlight switches (MBA used to but they're out of business )
Some stuff I thought of but not sure about
carbon fiber, ok I guess, just not the stick on decals, want it to look like CF not just a sticker
Paint, fine but what color (ebony interior)
Seat covers
Blue gage lights (really prefer the red but not adamantly opposed to blue)
Anything else ????

Just a word of advice, if you go with pedal covers, make sure they don't interfere with the actual pedal. I put a set on my car over a year ago, and the other day it fell off, the next time I hit the gas from a stop, truthfully there was a much noticable difference. I inspected the pedal and realized that the bracket that wrapped around the pedal was not allowing me to go WOT. A guy on CamaroZ28.com just posted not too long ago with his pedal replacements, they were REALLY sweet and I think it'd be exactly what you're looking for.

I have been contemplating getting the SS set for my car. Nice looking pedals.

Custom mats....new carpet, maybe a different color? shift boot? Can't really think of anything else and if you do paint stuff please don't go overboard on it. When it comes to paint i prefer Stock. IMO

I wasn't really digging the painting, but I threw it out there to see if there was something in the painting that would just be like "WOW gotta do that"
Custom mats sound like a good idea
Bear in mind that this would be mostly for shows (aside from the gages/hvac/headlight switch) ie take the stock stuff out, put in the custom stuff, show car, return to stock

Didn't think the pedals were to bad a price, I like the door sills but those are kinda pricey

If you do the paint, just make sure it's not spray bombed. I spray bombed my car just to get the color of the interior how I wanted it, to see if I like it or not before I take the plunge and invest in the true job. I think with yours, if you really do want that extra touch for a car show, if you smooth the texture out of the interior and paint black with a lot of clear coat (minus the dash pad that meets the windshield, because that will reflect like hell, I can vouch for that) it'll really look good at the car shows. A few touches of silver to match the stripes you have on the hood and you'd really have one hot interior.

So how do you smooth the texture, is it just sanding, or do you need a filler of some sort ?

Well, personally I've never done it, I would say sanding it would be better since the plastic is semi flexible and the filler would probably crack the second the plastic flexes. Let me see if I can dig up a pic of this one guy's interior that has done it, I think it looks really good.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/810872/3 found it. He smoothed the rear panels and painted some of the panels up front, but you can see on page 4 the picture with Chip Foose's signature on his dash that it still has the texture.

not diggin the color, but other than that, DAMN that's a good looking interior
I might try smoothing the radio/hvac bezel first, just to see how it looks (small piece, and hopefully inexpensive to replace if I f*ck it up lol )

Well of course the colors wouldn't work on yours, but on his it really goes well with the exterior.

Agreed on the color, though the technique is cool. But I really like his First Aid Kit near the trunk, it really adds something unique that you just dont see in most F-Bodies

Whenever I hit the lotto, I'd like to turn my interior Red. I had a '94 Vette once with Red Leather, and I just loved the color scheme.
