Default What do you think?

Hey guys, need some input, getting my 99 TA repainted, and im trying to decide whether i should keep the flames like they are here, or go with just red, with black TA emblems on the sides and front bird. (the guy who painted my car royally f'd it up, cant really tell to much from the pic but trust me haha)

EDIT: oh, almost forgot, I want to go with silver flames again if i keep em, but the silver thats on it now came out almost pinkish in the front b/c of the red below. Anyone know of a good way to avoid this, or even a silver that would come out better? Thanks alot for taking the time to read all this!

If you keep the flames, will they be fixed, or left the same? I think the flames look great, and make your car stand out from the rest.

thanks alot, I'm gonna keep them the exact same (ive got tons of reference pics) The whole thing would be good but the place that painted it didnt prep the car right and its all messed up now flaking, fish eyes, you name it. That place has since gone outta buisness.

I think you're definitely making the right decision to keep the flames, especially if you find a shop that paints it well.

Well just by looking at the pic I really like it how it is. I know you can't see the flaws from the pic though.

yeah, i wasnt either really, but i didnt have alot of money when I orig. put it on (sorry no pics of that) before I had the flames, so I just went to a local shop that does decals, the guy gave me the vinyl stuff for free and then i traced and razored it on over the front bird and TRANS AM signs on the doors, it actually did alot for nothing more than an hour of work. It looked good but I wasnt a big fan of it either, just needed something to put me apart for cheap

dayum! I had the same thing happen to my front bird tag cover when I had it repainted. I think it is from poor prep work. Keep the flames find a better painter. Nice car!

Looks like bad prep, the flames are pretty cool, but I can't help but wondering what it'd look like with the true fire style flames in silver, instead of the typical orange/yellow

Man, that would look awesome, probably would cost a good bit more tho' looks airbrushed, would be worth it tho'

EDIT: Do you think I could get that level of detail with silver/red If so i would def. shell out the extra cash
