What if I don't scrape off all the chrome on the lights? I got spray paint specifically for plastic. Is the "chrome" not plastic? Will it not stick or what?

Also, what did you use to get down in the grooved part of the housing? This steel wool ain't doin much, it is still shiny.

It doesn't necessarily have to be bare plastic in order for the paint to stick, just roughed up a little bit. Nothing is going to be touching or disturbing the paint that would make it peel or wear off once it is completely dry.

I just scuffed mine up as best as I could. Painted them last night. They look kickass. Will soon be putting VHT niteshades on the clear corners as well.

If you paint the whole inside, you're going to have trouble seeing at night. The light won't reflect.

It's a DIY smoke spray that you can smoke your lights with.

When doing this mod how much of the headlight do you paint, just the front most part of the housing or do you paint in towards the middle a little too? I know you don't go all the way so the light will be reflected but I was just wondering how far back to go with the paint and how much I need to tape off, I plan to do this mod very soon along with wet sanding and then polishing my lenses.
