its real easy. I think it is 4 wing type nuts, just pull the fabric back and you will see the black nuts, just be careful with your tail lights. Also it would be cheaper to find someone selling a black tail panel and buy it.

I have taken them off about 5 times,(work at a collision shop) It's very easy. First of all take the wing nuts uff and remove your taillights, then pull the fabric back on the inside of your trunk. You will see I believe about 4 10mm bolts that are clearly holding the tailpanel. should pop right off after that!

taillights are in there pretty snug with the bolt things coming out of the just pull them towards the center of the car and then they should slide right out, they are just held on by the plastic wingnuts and the bulbs connected.

remove the tail lights like normal. you dont even have to remove the spare tire, just reach your arm back behind the spare. there are 4 10mm nuts that hold the piece on. you can reach behind the spare to get to the far one also, it can be done in about 20 minutes.
and yes, white car, black wheels MATTE black pannel look good. im going to have matte black SS wheels on my car soon...
btw one last thing, hand paint in where it says "camaro" it takes a long time but it looks so much better than with it all black... it really needs the camaro in white.. check out my page, plenty of pics
