Default door panels

I'm about to purchase a set of 1995 Z28 black leather door panels for my 2000 Z28-(mine are cracking and are cloth when i have leather seats). does anyone think there will be any install problems? i would imagine they would fit because i doubt the door panel design changed much from lt1 to ls1.

You can swap any interior from any model 4th gen into any other 4th gen. The clips, bolt locations, etc. are exactly the same on all models, Camaro or Firebird.

I could've sworn when people would switch their Camaro door panels to Trans Am panels that they wouldn't line up or they had to do something custom to make it work

The door panels fit. It isn't a bolt or clip spacing issue. Trans-Am door panels have a slight angle at the front of the panel where the door panel butts up against the edge of the dash. Camaro's don't have this angle. If you put a set of Trans-Am door panels into a Camaro, there will be a slight gap where the door panel meets the end of the dash. It's an issue of cosmetics rather than compatibility.

Since he's swapping a Camaro door panel into a Camaro, this won't be a concern for him.

Wrong the TA/Firebird have different mounting holes than a Camaro. You have to do some mods to make them fit. The Camaro door panels are the same from 93+

I've personally done this swap on the first 4th gen Camaro I owned. The Trans Am door panels bolted right up to the Camaro doors. I dunno what you're talking about.

they will fit

this may sound weird, but my dad has a sixer and he got hit fromt the side, they had to replace the door and they put a 95 door on there, and the 2002 inside door panel, it all fit up snug.

So have I and many other people. The trans am door panels have different mounting points then the camaro. My buddy's 97 is the same way.

Ok, I did my research so I knew 100% what I was talking about before I went and debated this further.

The mounting points on a 94 Camaro do not entirely match the mounting points on the Trans Am. You have to cut them off.

To make the new panels fit you'll have to cut off the three tabs that stick out as the mounting points for the TA panels will be different. You can see the arrows here pointing to the newly created holes where the old mounting points were. To make the new mounting points simply place the panels on and drill the new holes right through the door panel.

Should be a direct swap as many have said, the only issue would be the color as I have stated.

The early year the interiors were "Graphite" a darkish grey, in 2000 and up the interios turned to "Ebony" and were virtually black.
