the FIRST black ss with sunoco and tt2s... yeaaa
Period.
If you dont believe me.. go to Strano and Ask Sam himself.
I think your car looks sick bro. yeah yeah yeah about the lowering.. i am a fan of that as well but its YOUR car and if you love to race then by all means.. keep that bitch sitting high.
Alot of people post things on this board without a CLUE as to what they are talking about.
Lower the car and your times get worse.. your 60 suffers.. The camaro is pretty aerodynamic already. You are not running a big rig or a chevy II
Keep up the good work with the car. Cant wait to see it with a stroker!
The only thing I will say is this.. I like the line up the middle more than the flat look. It seems like there is a flat spot on the camaro now. But hey bro.. if you like it.. THATS ALL THAT MATTERS!
ohh ya i flipped a coin for seemless or not lol.. i think i like non seemless better
I've only seen that hood in Turquiose
until now. It definitely belongs on a black Camaro. Next to the stock SS hood, that one by far is above all others. As far as lowering the car… whatever. I don't race at all but, I did put DMS and Konies on mine this past summer and my traction did suffer. I turn a corner from a standing start and easily get wheel spin with traction control on. I've got 17 x 9.5's on all fours of mine. I don't know how it would affect your race set-up but, I'll bet some 18's and some meatier tires would look mean as hell as well as shut everybody up about lowering your car. I've never really liked the "oversize wheel with the low profile tire" look and I'm sure it sucks for racing but, if you did 18's, man… your car would look evil as hell.
That hood looks great. I like the way it's rounded--looks more subtle compared to the angular VFN cowl induction hood. Is that a 2-inch rise on the hood? The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
and for what its worth... my car is dropped on stock shocks and the ride quality didnt suffer. too many people will tell you its going to goto hell, but how many of them have actually dropped the car w/ stock shocks? true it may not be perfect, but its not bad at all.
If you have enough tire under the car, and enough power, and your rear suspension geometry is correct, lowering it will not affect traction. In fact, lowering these cars makes them more stable at higher speed, especially on cars that run 10s or quicker.

- you won't feel that it's necessary to buy an adjustable panhard rod to recenter the rear-end;
- you won't feel that it's necessary to buy adjustable lower control arm brackets to align your rear control arm angle;
- you won't feel that it's necessary to get a front-end alignment;
- you won't feel it necessary to buy expensive bigger rims and tires to compliment the lowered look of the car;
- you're saving yourself more than $200 by not having to buy lowering springs and thousands of dollars more by not having to buy the other parts/service mentioned above and having those parts installed;
Of course, the reasons I mentioned above may not apply to TondSS as he might already have done any of the things mentioned above even without lowering, but they're definitely the reasons why I'm not getting my car lowered. I've also used the word feel just to point out that the part or service might not even be required and could even be subjective.

Your car will look so smooth fully painted. Sinister Solid Black is cool. Especially with the TTII's
Any plans for other accent colors? I painted my calipers red on a white SS and they jump out now...only accent color there so they really stand out. Any color would look hot with black.
Can't go wrong with Black...gorgeous.
