Any sign shop should carry translucent red and different shades of it too!
If you want to buy a 15" x 30ft roll of it, I can point you in the right direction for that too.
Brighter LEDs = more money. 100 white 13Kmcd LEDs are only $12 shipped now, so makes it cheaper
Plus better light dispursion(sp?)...

By no means was it an easy task to solder them even though the layout of it was simple. ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
As far as the shade of the vinyl, make sure it's not too dark of red. I initally thought I wanted it dark to look as stock as possible, but never could find any that I liked. I took the darkest they had, which actually looked just like a normal shade of red and against the black of the filler, it made it look alot darker.

InfiniteReality, I had an idea to mold clear lexan and make a new tail light lens. I would arrange red LED's behind it for the brake light pattern and then tint the whole thing with that VHT Niteshades.
I could either run all the LED's through a resistor to lower their output for parking lights and then full blast for the brake lights.
Or I could run only a small portion full blast for parking and have double or triple the LED's light up for the brake.
Do you think something like this is doable?
