they seem to be attached to a plastic hoop think that is bolted to the back of the seat.

Just unbolt the hoop that the seat belts go through on the back of the seat. I think it is a hex bolt T-27. I think on the bolt.

you have to take out the seat belts separately so if you want them in leave them in. I took out my back seat , seat belts jack and spare tire and lost 80 lbs. anyone know whatelse I can do to lose weight that doesnt take from comfort or require serious fabrication ?? also I will be relocating the battery to the back.

I removed my backseat last week, I wasnt going to take the seatbelts out but if you take off the plastic cover that is on the sail panels you can see its one bolt holding the seatbelts on , its really easy so I just took them out anyway!! You can see what it looks like on my cardomain

I plan on removing mine soon, but that's to start working on the custom sub enclosure that's taking over my backseat.

i think if you really wanted to keep the belts you can get like a hacksaw and cut a slit in the plastic seatbelt guide on the backseat. Im not looking at it now but cut it in a spot so it shouldnt bind when you use them normally. But if you want to take the seats out to save weight, you should be taking the belts off too, thats where most of the weight is

I just unbolted them at first from the seats, then I decided to take the seatbelts out all together

you can remove the seatbelts without removing the sail pannels, you just have to manuver your hand back in there with the spare tire and that other pannel on the drivers side removed

are you wanting to keep it out permanantly or doing it for some kind of maitnence? because you can just set the rear seat on the axel/gas tank hump if you have to, thats what i did
