What iis so differnt about your car!!!??
and i dropped a JDM h22 motor into it, which is not very popular
oh wait, thats not my car its my friends
the guy was proud of it too, had a vtech badge on the back and everything
you removed your turning signals? i cant see them...
or just blacked out?
knight rider guy: i saw the grey plastic but it still looked like tan cloth *shrugs*, do you have the light up pedals and door? most people dont do that
and you coudl also make msot of those buttons functional pursuit mode you can do with a turbo charger and an electronic waste gate, boost with nitrus, easy enough to make an ail slick trap and such, auto drive tie into cruise control etc. etc, that would all be quite cool
install a pc into one of those monitor bays and ptu a synthesized voice in there
ive accually considered doing a kitt replica on and of for quite some time, put alot of thought into adn got alot of idea's hehe
do those monitors accually work or are they looks only?

I can make most buttons fuctional if I desire, Nitrous to the "Turbo Boost" button, trunk lid to "Hatch Lid", etc... Also, with a little work, I could tie the cruise control circuit to the "Auto Cruise" underneath the voicebox. People with 82-84 TAs with CFI tied in the solenoid to that circuit.
Very few have PCs, but a couple have laptops with voice recognition programs to have rudimentary conversations. And the monitors are hooked up the DVD player in my trunk. I'm planning on getting a new stereo that plays DVDs so I can switch them up there. MANY people hook up cheap 12V cameras and adjustable video selectors. Go from one input to another. Game consoles are popular too.

haha thats really weird, any JDM motor would suck in our cars, too heavy and they dont have the TQ. For the turn signals, i got some black out covers. It looks really good in person, and i havent seen many trans ams with them. I tried to do alot of things that set it apart, without going over the edge.

if i ever get around to doing one thats how i woudl do it, jsut to get it as completly functional and true to the original as i could
and upon regoing over that, thats karr, i dont tihnk it ever showed his interior did it? he might jsut have your shifter

think your karr is the first completly black once ive seen, even though the only 2 color car was in like...half an episode (i think karr himself was only in like 3?)
also if i were to do the conversion id make molds of all the steel panels, adn remold it all in carbon fiber and paint it, to get the bulletproof strength and light weight to bring you somewhat closer to the 200mph mark(not that...youd ever see that, hehe)
i can be a bit obsessive when ti comes to attention to detail.
how does that steering wheel work out? did you increase the steering ratio to fit the butterfly sweel or do you have to spin that thin completly aroudn to turn the car?
very nice conversion btw, its a good job, more complete than most ive seen.
as for the vtech motor in the camaro, yeah i coudlnt beleve it some people....

enough jackin' this thread tho, (im feelin kinda rude for it) so all that sead if you wish to continur this kinght rider conversation feel free to pm me.
