What iis so differnt about your car!!!??
As for me... My '98Formula is different because it's a Bright Purple Metallic Raptor hardtop, 1 of 26 in stock trim.. probably one of a kind modded.

My '98 Trans Am is different because it's 1 of 12 Bright Purple Metallic WS6s made.. 1 of 6 with a 6-speed. I just bought it, so the clean up is still a work in progress.

I'd also imagine that I'm the only guy around that owns two Bright Purple Metallic LS1 4th gens, too.

but every time i see pics of your two cars the formula is always darker, is the ws6 faded? or is it jsut the light
and upon closer look od the ws6 picture what you said previously about the paint not being in the best shape seems true, the guy obviously had no idea what he had..i cant wait to see when you have it completly restored
and i thought there were only 10 ws6's?

and the other picture of the two
is that car gonna need to be repainted, or can all that be buffed out? the front clip, right side esp. looks pretty bad, almsot like he hit something and it bounced off the corner.
Iwill be able to make it look pretty good as is, but if I want it show quality it will have to be repainted.

I was actually looking for a '01-'02 hardtop Formula A4 to use for bracket racing when I found the one I bought, and bought it because it was cheap and I liked the color. I was looking for a '02-'03 WRX when I found the T/A... I was coming up empty handed and was bored, and just starting looking through what F-bodies were for sale.. did a search on purple and that's the first car that came up. I bought the Formula from a member on LS1.COM, and I found the Trans Am in the AutoTrader.
Many people think I have some kind of obsession with the color purple, but it's really not my favorite, red and SOM are. I just liked the idea of owning a F-body that was kinda unusual, and something you didn't see every day. When I found the second one, it was almost like I was destined to buy it the way everything fell into my lap at the right time.

Photos don't really do it justice, the color changes in the light so much that you never really capture it well in a picture. It looks like everything from a really deep violet in low light, to almost magenta in bright light.
I just like that if anyone around here ever seens a purple LS1 Firebird driving around, they know that it's me.
