Hahaha, sorry but that's just too funny, selling a car because it smelled like ****, now I've heard everything.

If a ******* cat pissed in my car, you can bet every cent you have I would track his *** down and he would lose every one of his 9 lives; that's how many rounds my semi auto's clip holds. It would look like a mafia hit had taken place when I got finished with that little furry bastard.

Good luck.

My family owned a pet store for 20+ years. Urine Gone doesn't work for ****. Get a black light (you might have to buy one, or you can rent a big one from a pet store for like $10). Also get a gallon of stuff called Nature's Miracle. You need to SOAK the area where it occurred. I have never used this stuff on leather, so I don't know if it will discolor leather but carpet it'll be fine. If the cat pissed on the leather and it is in the padding on the seat, you're going to have to find a way to soak the padding without ruining your leather or the smell will never go away.

The reason you need this stuff is that there's something in cat urine (crystals or something, can't remember the term for it) that get stuck in carpeting and shampooing/steam cleaning won't get them out. This stuff has something in it that breaks the crystals down. After you soak it in this stuff, THEN you do the shampoo/steam cleaning to get the last of it out. You need to soak it because the urine probably went through the carpet into the padding and through the leather into the padding.

Again, be careful with the leather. No idea if this stuff will discolor it.

And as I finish writing this i see you posted that you got it out. Oh well, I'll leave it up in case someone else needs the info some day (or maybe your smell returns).

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. He left his tops off overnight, a stray cat jumped in and pissed on his seat. Sadly, he never got the smell out and traded the car in.

I have a cat, there urine is very potent. The only thing that works to get rid of the smell is Nature's Miracle. I've used it on my carpet a few times with no problems.

Is the cat dead yet? You could put it on a leash and tie the leash to the serpentine belt of a mustang....then just walk away smiling.

I personally like the cat in a bag in the river trick. Ever try to swim in a bag?

I heard that keeping charcoal in your car will absorb the bad odor.
