dont like all the white shine onto the ground though bet it looks like a spotlight driving on the road

Oh yeah, it definitely does. BUT notice other people's license plate lights.. well the ones that shine down, they actually have a spot like I do... Mine's just a hair more noticeable! My old 12 LED and 32 LED license plate lights did the same thing too.

Why would someone want to make the plate more visible? So the cops can read your tag easier?

With the exception of the front license plate bird, why don't you buy LED BULBS instead spending all of your time cutting and sodering them individually?

I don't see why not. Just cut the back of the housing off and cut a board to fit it. Then just layout and solder the LEDs. Seal the back of it all up with liquid electrical tape. You'd have to use another set of resistors so it'll operate like the stock 3157 dual filament bulbs.
