You sure about that diagram? Looks like those diodes are pointed the wrong direction to me... Stripe side towards the negative...

LED Calculator a friend of mine & I put together (I initally wrote a VB program but that won't work on here without someone to host it... So I gave him the formulas and he wrote the web-based program)... =)
