Personally I don't know why people like this mod. I think it looks like the part came from a junk yard car in a different color and the person didn't have the money to paint it.

If its not real Berger than I dont really see the appeal of doing it. If that is the way it came from the dealer because it is a "special" edition car than cool otherwise...

So if the car came with say, a blue hood, black fenders, red doors and a 5' wing it'd still be cool cuz it's "special" ?

Aww...now I feel bad. I'm sorry man. It's not just you. Berger thought it looked cool too. I don't like it....don't like the black bottom of the SE T/A either

How much of a difference is there between grey and gunmetal. It doesn't look that bad. Maybe if it was painted some sort of silver or something. Hmm

I like it because it breaks up all the meaningless white on the rear. Look at Arctic98Z's car and tell me you don't like how it looks.

Other colors though just don't work. It has to be matte/satin black or nothing.

you guys criticizing the black pannel even know any history behind it?

1st gen big block and 2nd gen big block cars had matte black tail pannels thats where the pannel comes from, its not a berger thing, berger just used it also, and if you want to be technical it would be improper on any car that isnt a big block

it definatly makes my car look more agressive and i dont think it looks at all like a thrown on peice of an afterthought

To each their own... Even on his car, I think it just looks retarded. Now maybe if you used some more black elsewhere on the car to even it out, it might look good...but to me, it still looks to be the equivalant to someone whom bought a fiberglass hood and didn't paint it cuz they thought it looked cool or didn't have the money

It's one of those things that you either like or hate, obviously.

I think THAT particular color is whats putting most people off. If you could make it more of a Spiral Gray or Pewter then more people might like it.

But its all about flowing w/ the scheme. Do some other stuff in the same color, and it might end up looking kickass.
