If I recall correctly he found a bunch of hexagon stickers and covered up the red parts. Still a tedious task but im sure it was better than taping and cutting

OK...it says on the website...."15 minutes to install". How the hell does this work then? I thought it would require me removing the 194 socket at the end of the taillight and replacing with say an 2157? Are there 2 boards? One for each side?

You don't have to replace any sockets (at least not on 4th gen TAs). Just extend the wires from the left and the right, and then wire them into the board. I have a diagram somewhere....

It really does take 15-20 minutes after you get all the stuff together. All you do is lengthen the wires and put them into the board. They recommend that you cover the board since they don't send a case or anything for it. I used cardboard (as they recommended) and it actually turned out real sturdy. All the wires and board get hidden under the carpet at the rear of the hatch.

I also bought the brighter bulbs for the end lights (another recommendation). Really helped the overall look. Especially at night.
