Default Roof Bubbling

My car has the roof bubbling that some people have. Right now the bubbles are pretty small, the biggest ones are about half as big around as a bb. For anyone else with this problem, how big are your bubbles, and how fast did they grow?

yeah dude you are under warranty every thing from 1999 to 2002 camaros have the warranty on that. But if you have a warranty you need to go to you local chevy dealrship and talk to the service department.

They REPLACE the roof panel. They can't just paint it. The problem is the glue underneath the old paint.

Here's a link to a thread with the TSB in it:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-body-work/308546-bubbling-sail-panel-issue-dummies.html

My car is a 2002 that I bought new in 12/01, and it has 42,000 miles on it, so it's out of warranty. I took it to the dealer I bought it from this morning and they offered to replace the roof and pay for parts, with me paying for the labor, which they said was $350 (I don't have a T-Top). The offer is good for a year, so I plan to watch the bubbles to see if they get much worse. I was curious how bad others were. I read on this site that sometimes the job is less than perfect, with window leaks and quarter panel scratches. Since my bubbles aren't all that bad and the car is in otherwise perfect shape, I'm going to hold off for a while.

GM would not cover the repair under warranty (that's another long story), so I asked Legendary Motor Car (of Dream Car Garage fame) to do the work. I paid more than a regular body shop, but the work was flawless. I didn't mind paying more for the peace of mind and a job well done.

The SFC's were fabricated by Don Goetz. He can be reached at "dgoetz3@cinci.rr.com".
