Default technique for cleaning lower inside of windshield

every time i go to clean the inside of my windshield, i get very frustrated when i have to clean the bottom of it. i tried wrapping a paper towel onto a swiffer handle, but it's still coming out bad.

also, as far as cleaning products, i've never really found one that is a true 'streak free'... but i havent tried a lot. so any recommendations would be great. i got a microfiber window cloth the other day but havent tried it yet. i did a search and heard a lot of people recommend stoners and use a newspaper... why use a newspaper? wont the ink come off?

Newspaper is lint-free. I used to work at the local paper, so I would bring home extra blank before it got tossed and used that. Works great.

I've also used Dragon Fibre cloths with glass cleaners with great success.

a simple terry cloth works great for me for getting our streaks. Just take your chamois wipe off all the water or spots, then take your terry cloth while the window is still alittle wet..and wipe till its dry..no streaks. Im sure theres other methods, but this is the simplest and has always worked for me. I hate streaks.

i dont think my original wording of my question emphasised enough that i also need advice on how to reach the lower part of the windshield without needing to remove ribs to reach over the steering wheel and dash

Well personally I prefer to remove my lower ribs and that usually does the fix, but if that doesnt work I would take a back scrubber out of your shower, rap it with your microfiber towel, put a thick rubberband on the end to hold it in place and then clean away. This only works if you dont plan on removing your ribs

LOL, yeah but you're small. You can probably jump right up there on the dashboard and go to town.

I'm about 6'5", and even my long *** arms can't do a good job cleaning that damned windshield. I can even stand outside the car and reach in to the bottom part of the windshield. But my wiping technique leaves nothing but swirls.

Did I mention these stretched out windshields SUCK on these cars?

For those of us long armed people that try to reach all the way to the bottom of the windshield, make sure you take your watch off or you WILL scratch the glass

The t-tops off helps, just reach your arm as far as possible to get it. It may take a little contorting but you'll get it. I use newspaper and generic glass cleaner, works well.
