Default Who has a personal power coating system?

I've been thinking of buying the HotCoat Pro 1100 system. I was wondering who had it and how do you like it? This will be my first time to powder coat but and I should probably crawl before I walk but I dun want to spend 150 bucks on the cheap system when I'll be tired of it in 2 weeks anyway. So I'm gunna go ahead and get the good one.

So how many do-it-yourselfer powder coaters do we have here?

I don't powdercoat, but I do a hell of a lot of spray painting at home. Only thing with powdercoating is you're going to need a dedicated oven in order to cure the parts. I'm not sure how well those curing lights work that Eastwood sells.

powdercoating is over rated and isnt any better than wet coat paint. only reason why its used in industry is that its a lot easier to use and clean up.

well if its easier to use and clean, seems like that would make it better then paint. haha and isnt powdercoating better for rims and such, wont nic or crack.

although i had a friend get rims painted at maaco and they are still perfect, go figure

its somewhat better, but not really, i have powdercoated rims and wetcoated rims, the powdercoated rims chip the surface really easily, it seems like there is no give at all, but the wet coated ones kinda give.
