In 20 years you'll be lucky to still have gasoline to burn in these cars. As long as you're not hacking the car up beyond restoration it won't effect value that much. Swapping lights, adding stripes or different wheels/tires won't hurt value and depending on the buyer may increase value if the parts are something that's no longer produced that look really good on the car.

Its all about what your taste is I guess. Also how much money you can dish out. Keeping it stock will for sure help you with these cars on the money side, appearance stuff is crazy high priced for the f-body imo. Anyways stock is cool, its still an f-body!

I agree that there are some really awsome cars on this site and I also appreciate all the members and their mods. In my particular case with combination of options on the Hawk it is only 1 of 17 ever made. I've always felt that a clean original look is best.

Your prolly right about the gas.. So it'll be a museum piece.

I like stock or very slight mods the best. The only visual things, I may do, are wheels and exhaust tips.

Bone stock is cool, especially on a WS6 Ram Air...

But pity the poor 2002 Z28 owner, the stock exhaust tips look like a 7th grade metal shop project...and that black plastic grille is unbecoming on such a sleek beast.

And the antenna looks like a fishing pole.

So I upgraded the catback exhaust, added a billett grille and did the shorty antenna thing --- but neccessity compelled me to do do...
