Default AVS Blackouts

How did u guys rub the AVS off of them? i kno lots of u do it i dont want to use something that will mess up the shade of them tho.

i used a chemical my dad had laying in our garage and it got it off really easy..ill try to find the name of it, and let you know.

RUBBING, or POLISHING COMPOUND. Small amount on a rag and rub rub...20 seconds it's gone.

Then 1 week later my blackouts were stolen off the car.

I was going to start a thread about this but I figure I'll ask here first. Do the tail light blackouts make it real hard to see the brake lights during the day? I wanted to get some blackouts but I have no desire to get rear ended in the middle of the day

I removed the AVS logos on mine with 3M FinesseIt-II.

i think blackouts make any car look better lol but thats just me.

I went ahead and only did the front turn signals.



I dont really like how they look on the back brakes or the headlights.

The lights show through fine. I was worried about that at first also. I have AVS covers on my tails and VHT Niteshades on my CHMSL and Side markers. The sides are dim during the day, but fine at night. It's not like I use them during the day anyway.

Brakes On

I wish I would have just did it right the first time and nite shaded them, the covers look good at night but not smooth, They gave my tails dimples and now im going to buy new ones so I can nite shade them.
