Black. Chrome plastic usually looks tacky.

And, good choice on getting halos:

Eh, waste of money. Either dont change the headlights, get halos, or just paint the headlights. I did the in-between and am also currently looking at getting halos. Cant decide either between black or chrome. Black goes good with red, of course, but the stock chrome headlights look pretty damn good for what they are. So why wouldnt halo chrome ones look much worse?

Does anyone know anything about the longevity of the stuff that makes the halo light up?

Also, how do you guys wire them usually...to come on with your daytime running lights, or your foglights? I think I want to wire mine together with the foglights, so they won't be on all the time.

Your description sounds almost like mine, polished billet, Z06 motorsports, and tint, Anyway I have black halos and I really like them, prior to that I had the whistler headlight mod and while I thought it looked good nobody ever noticed it until I pointed it out. The halos get much more attention.

While I dont know the longevity, I do know its lit by an LED and generally speaking, LEDs last a very very long time. However, I have heard of some very few instances where some peoples LEDs did blow out. If mine blew out Id most likely hack it apart and put a brighter one in there since I think the original one is a little dim.

I wired my halos up to my parking lights so they come on when I turn those on, but not with just the DRLs. Looks kind of cool when you set the alarm and the lights flash with the halos.
