I'm not a fan of chrome halo's except in 2 situations...
On a silver car, I think they look really good, or if there is a chrome or silver theme on the car... like silver in the paint job, chrome wheels, letters, emblems, etc.

While I dont know the longevity, I do know its lit by an LED and generally speaking, LEDs last a very very long time. However, I have heard of some very few instances where some peoples LEDs did blow out. If mine blew out Id most likely hack it apart and put a brighter one in there since I think the original one is a little dim.
I wired my halos up to my parking lights so they come on when I turn those on, but not with just the DRLs. Looks kind of cool when you set the alarm and the lights flash with the halos.

So, if I do wire them into the parking lights, they still do come on when the headlights are on obviously but not during the day when the DRL's come on? Is it tricky to find the right wire? If I remember right, if I leave my foglight switch on, and I set the alarm, the halos should come on too if I were to wire them into the foglights, right? Can you give me a quick description of how you found the right wire to splice in to? I am assuming only the positive wire gets spliced into either the parking or fog lights, and the other one is just a ground that I can attach into that groundind screw next to the airbox, right?

get some type of wire splicer.
go to the fog light or drl bulb the wires coming out of teh connector just slpice in to that.
when ever the light you spliced in to is on the halos would be on.
i went in to the fogs.
when my fogs are on the halos are on.
go to the fog light or drl bulb the wires coming out of teh connector just slpice in to that.
