Vfn I say it is your car. You should not have a car you can't do whatever you want with it, I say get the VFN. I have driven with a 4" for around a year, never a wreck at all, I can see fine, I think is is an awesome hood, but if you want a hood just for the track, get the 5" one

You say you have got the motor to back it so go for it.

Similar to what others have said, I think it looks good on a full drag car, but I think it just takes over on street car - too much. I think the stock ram air hood looks pretty bad *** already. Obviously it's your car and therefore up to you. Whatever you do, enjoy it...
