door switch lights light up ?

my 98 ta door switch lights dont light up , are they supposed to ? neither side lights up , work fine , just no lights .

If they're like the 02s the switches themselves don't light up there's a red light above them, that provides the illumination
(if you're talking about the window & lock switches that is)

Ya theyre supposed to light up. my 99's were burnt out and I replaced them with LED

Yours are probably burnt too

i need to replace mine too...how hard was it to splice in the leds mike?!? i've beem looking to do this for a while!

I replaced the bulbs in both of my doors with 20k mcd LEDs. It was pretty easy really, just disconnect the bulb, splice a resistor inline with the positive wire, remove bulb from clip, wedge/hot glue LED in clip.

i have the red lights , but my door switch lights dont light up , i got mixed ansewers on if they light up or not . this must be a pretty commen thing to burn out ?

I replaced mine with LED's from superbrightleds.com. Simple plug and play installation. No hot gluing or wiring to mess with. Much cleaner and brighter then some I bought from a member here.

the switches themselves do not light up from underneath....there is a little red bulb above the handle that lights them up......hope that answers your ?....

No they do not light up from the factory. The factory installs burnt out light bulbs there as a way to deal with the exorbitant amount of burnt out bulbs they have laying around. Quite ingenious if you ask me.

thats funny hawgs , as you see ive got many different answers just on this thread . i had a 95 ta but its been awhile and cant remember if they lite up , my 98 does not , but the little red lights on the trim panel do . how about everyone comment on if theres light up or not ?
