If you go with the bulbs from superbrightleds, it would be really really easy.... all you would have to solder would be the headlight LED and the others are plug and forget. To do it right, LS1_SS's kit needs to be soldered like I mentioned in the original post and that takes a lot of time. Its not hard though. On a 1 to 5 scale I would say about a 2.
If you've never used a soldering iron you should practice tinning a wire and see how it goes. Once you can get that down looking good you should be able to tackle the bulbs.

I have done the door lights as well, they were very simple! Don't hesitate. You needn't remove the whole door panel either, just the trim around the door handle. The door light twists out. I didn't even solder my LED/resistor in, and it doesn't move around at all. It looks really neat @ night shining blue on the switches, too bad it is impossible to take photos of!
I would also like to add that for those of you who like to do it yourself, eBay is the best place for LEDs. I got 100 LEDs with 100 matching resistors for a 12v system for $11, shipped.
Here is my stuff (very similiar to yours!)

I'm still contemplating doing the steering wheel controls even though they are inoperable with my Eclipse deck (may get the pac adapter at some point).... I attempted earlier and got tired of messing with it.

Someday I'll get the adapter.
Here's a how-to someone wrote on doing the steering wheel lights. I have yet to do them, for now I just pulled the fuse so they don't mismatch.

On another note, my Elcipse deck has the prewiring for the steering controls but it has two wires for it when the stock deck only uses pin 14 on connector C3.
